Now this is my second consecutive post on Himesh Reshammiya - i still don't call myself a big fan of the man, but I can't help but admit that my admiration for the man has only increased over time. The first time he impressed me was on the TV show "Aap Ki Adalat". Replyin to Rajat Sharma's allegation that he was being criticised for claiming to have given more hits than Mohd Rafi, the singer very humbly said, " Rajatji, the claim i made is factually correct. Yet i know realize that people are not ready to accept the fact and it's probably hurt their sentiments. So i apologize for speaking the truth, and promise not speak the truth again." Some chutzpah that. Watch him talking to the very hateful Seedhi Baat chap here in this video.

Her case comes to the notice of a motley group of south Asian social workers running an under funded organization called Southall Black Sisters. They bring her plight to the attention of the media by organizing rallies to gather public support for her freedom. Granted appeal, she is freed by the Royal Court in a landmark judgment that redefined the meaning of the word PROVOCATION in the case of battered women. (Battered Woman Syndrome).
Cast: Aishwarya Rai in the lead role as Kiranjit Ahluwalia, Naveen Andrews and Nandita Das.
It's a true story, with minor changes. The real Kiranjit actually travelled alongwith the crew all the while during the shoot.
